Can you replace H7 bulb with LED?

Yes, H7 halogen bulbs can be directly replaced with LED bulbs, but the following key points should be noted:

Compatibility and effect‌

LED bulbs must be H7-specific models and match the original vehicle interface. If the original vehicle does not have a lens, simply replacing the bulb may cause light scattering, reduce the paving effect, and even affect the sight of oncoming vehicles.
The brightness is significantly improved after replacement, but the uniformity and irradiation distance of the light pattern may be weaker than the solution with the lens installed.

Installation and safety‌

Some models need to install a decoder or voltage stabilizer to avoid fault codes.
The power of LED bulbs is usually lower than that of halogen lamps (such as 25W vs 55W), but it is still necessary to ensure that the line load and heat dissipation design are reasonable to prevent overheating risks.

Regulations and quality requirements‌

Modification is legal, but it must comply with local vehicle lighting standards (such as no glare).
Give priority to high-quality products with cooling fans, constant current drives, and light pattern tests to avoid light decay or failure caused by inferior LEDs.

If you pursue better results, it is recommended to upgrade the lens or directly replace the assembly to improve the focusing performance.
