Ask a European buyer which socket they need and the answer is usually H7 or H4. Ask a North American buyer with a pickup and the answer is often 9004 or 9012 – two bases that are common on the road and comparatively rare in Asian catalogues.

K13 MAX series, produced in nine sockets
Why these two sockets get skipped
Both use a locking collar rather than a simple twist base, and both sit in larger reflector housings. Tooling a 9004 or 9012 base is a separate mould from an H4, so a factory that already runs H-series bases often leaves them out of the catalogue until volume justifies the tool.
That gap creates a problem for distributors: they can cover ninety percent of a market with H-series stock and still lose orders on the remaining ten percent.
What we changed in the K13 MAX range
The K13 MAX housing is now produced in nine sockets – H1, H4, H7, H11, 9004, 9005, 9006, 9007 and 9012 – on the same 240W platform.
| Specification | Value |
|---|---|
| Power | 240W per set (120W per bulb) |
| Luminous flux | 28,800LM per set |
| Colour temperature | 6,000K |
| Voltage | DC 12V |
| CANBUS | Error-free on most vehicles |
| Sockets | H1, H4, H7, H11, 9004, 9005, 9006, 9007, 9012 |
| Packing | 12 x 6 x 8 cm, 0.6 kg per set |

Three checks before quoting 9004 or 9012
- Housing depth: 9004 reflectors are often shallow. Confirm the fan clearance before committing to a container.
- Beam pattern: a 9004 lamp has two filaments at different heights. A single-chip LED has to replicate both positions, so ask for the low-beam and high-beam cut-off photos, not just a wall shot.
- CANBUS: newer pickups monitor bulb resistance. Quote a decoder with the first order rather than shipping it separately later.
What this means for a distributor’s range
A range built only on H4, H7 and H11 will miss a meaningful share of pickup owners. Adding 9004 and 9012 to an existing K13 MAX order costs nothing in tooling and keeps the range complete on one platform, one packing size and one warranty term.
Buyers who want to test the fitment first can order the 9004 and 9012 bases as a small sample set; samples are accepted on most of our products.
